    Hello everyone!!
Several months ago, a friend of mine found this at a local peddlers mall and bought it for me. It's a 1971 Jim Beam Bourbon decanter made in honor of the six foot tall Texas jack rabbit statue in Odessa, Texas (as seen in pic #4). The decanter stands 12" tall. These are very plentiful and lots of these Texas jack rabbit decanters, as well as many other designs, can still be found on eBay and other sites. My friend said he got this one for less than $10.00. It's in nice condition and has no chips or cracks in it. I really like this jack rabbit, or hare to some folks. He sits atop a display cabinet in our home.

I live only 10 minutes from the Jim Beam distillery, but have yet to take one of the tours that they offer daily. I guess being surrounded by bourbon distilleries just isn't that intriguing to us local residents.

Thanks very much for stopping by!!

    Scott

This is a super rabbit decanter and that is a fabulous gigantic jack rabbit statue, would love to see that! You do get blase about landmarks around you, here on Long Island we have a 15 or 20 ft tall Native American chief in full regalia (headdress, tomahawk etc) as this island belonged to many different tribes yrs ago, but residents barely take notice - such is life!

The larger version would make an excellent door stop. Odessa looks like my kind of place.

Thanks Jenni!! Funny how that works. I live only 45 minutes from Mammoth Cave, the largest underground cave in the world and I only visited it for the first time about 8 years ago. However, I live 1 hour 40 minutes from the National Corvette Museum and I've been there several times.
