Long time no see ( 4 months) , ya all know why.........
Anyhow I HAD to post this for Karen. My friend bought this from an Auction, and I said Yes, yes go for it. They love it, and since I helped them to tell them to buy it -- IF they decide to sell it down the Road, it is promised that I will get first chance at it. Fingers crossed. Beautiful piece, the pictures speak for themselves !! Intact label and writing on it. .

Thanks for posting this, so good. I have not seen that shape from Kurata before, although the pearl decor is one I have in some other shapes. It looks all the world like icing; sweet, shiny. iridescent, and running down the sides.
It would be interesting to get a translation for the script. The numbers don't look like a date, as this style was C1960s.
Lots of good Japanese glass was used as reward or presentation gifts in the corporate world, so maybe that's what the script means.

@racer4four - Thanks Karen. I was thinking of you all the time. My friend was at an auction and saw this, asked me if they should get it and this was the pic they send me. I said Yes, Yes, yes. They paid just under $ 100 for it. Prices were going high at the Sale at I guess the seller had lots of Asian things to sell. Yes, looks like it might have been an award or something. It is just *drippin* with style. So, I gets dibs on it first if they decide to sell it. Yes, it is about 12 inches tall and just stunning !!! Thanks for the lovely comment and HUGS to you also!
