Hello everyone!!
In addition to my many rabbits and hares, I also have several dogs in my collection as well. This is my vintage set of Mr. & Mrs. Pug. They're made of bronze and are nicely detailed. I really like Mr. Pug's bow tie and hat, but Mrs. Pug's bonnet is quite nice too. These both stand 12" and 11" tall respectively.

A fine pair! Pugs are such cute dogs, yours are very well reproduced. Love the headgear, in pic #1 I thought the Mrs had a lion's mane on first glance lol

I love these! They look like illustrations from my French books with the anthropomorphic animals.
Thank you Jenni!! I have a few Pugs in my collection, but not as whimsical as these are. You're right, the female's bonnet does look like a lion's mane at first glance.

Thanks so very much! As far as these being rare, they're the only set of these I've ever seen. I do not know what period of time these were made, but, based on they're attire, I'd like to believe these are from early 1900's.
Thank you Laura!! Yes, these would fit in very well with your French illustrations. As a matter of fact, these actually came to me from Europe. So, there is a possibility they could be French. Though, there are no markings to be found anywhere on these.
