    Hello everyone!!
As I mentioned previously, I have a few Pierre Chenet bronze hare sculptures in my collection. This is another of my hare sculptures. This one is solid bronze and was cast in either France or Belgium. As with all of the Pierre Chenet sculptures, this one is also very well detailed a has the unmistakable Pierre Chenet crown signature on it's abdomen. It measures 5 1/2" tall and 3" front to back. I also own a much larger set of Pierre Chenet hares, exactly like this, only they're 14" tall and 9" front to back. As with all of my Pierre Chenet hare sculptures, they were cast by using the "Lost Wax" method, or as the French would call it, "Cire-Perdue".

Pierre CHENET is an artist from northern France who creates magnificent sculptures since the early 1970s.

He uses his own technique, known as "acid patina" which gives his bronzes a unique colour. Each sculpture is unique by its colour.
The bronze is stamped with the crown of his own foundry.

Thank you all so very much for taking the time to stop by!!

    Scott

Beautiful bronze hare - love the natural looking color shadings on the body, and those long Bugs-like ears

Thank you Laura!! I too love the alert pose of this one. I have fairly rare one that is in a crouching position. When I get a chance I'll post that on as well.

I love it! It's quite naturalistic. I like how it sits, ready to jump up and run fast incase there is a fox or human.....
