Two Milwaukee Sentinel Salesman Lapel Pins. Both are bronze about 21.2 mm in diameter slightly larger than a 1 cent coin. The first is a Master Salesman pin which is gold plated. The second is a Senior Salesman pin in bronze. Both I assume are for selling ads. I would guess these pins to date back to the 1920’s and that the Master Salesman pin is probably rarer. The Sentinel was Milwaukee’s morning paper before it was bought up by the Milwaukee Journal which was the afternoon paper back in the days when newspapers were an important part of the economy.
