    ~ Hi CW GANG ~

Vintage Rare FREDERICKSON ART POTTERY ( USA ) aka Fredericksburg pottery with a fern or a fiddle head design. Just won this at an auction here for a steal. Been trying to research it and from what I found this is Frederickson Art Pottery. Super mint condition. About 8 inches tall and about 5.50 inches wide at the widest point. The pottery plant burnt down in 1965 and was not rebuilt. I found a couple other examples of this -IF- those attributions are correct. Will post those below. Does have a black stamp on the bottom that says MADE IN THE USA.

    Fredericksburg pottery

Thanks for LOOKING / LOVING !!

@TassieDevil, @Newfld, @betweenthelens, @Ms.CrystalShip - Thanks everyone for the beautiful comments. No one had bid on it, I was the sole bidder on it - So lucky ME !! I was drawn to it too !! I looked around here on CW and did not see another piece of FREDERICKSON ART POTTERY at all, so maybe a first for CW ?

...@PhilDMorris- Thanks for the wonderful comment, and I had to look up the word acanthus, LOL

The acanthus leaf was the most common on most antiques, particularly with a continuous pattern, it can be so beautiful, usually moreso than this photo which is not really a classic acanthus, but a reworked acanthus.

This is a piece of Fredericksburg Art Pottery Company (FAPCO) pottery made in Fredericksburg, Ohio. Belle Kogan designed it. There is no Frederickson pottery. FAPCO has a Facebook group.
