This sure brings back Christmas memories as a child. My younger brother and I each received a GI Joe, footlocker and lots of accessories from Santa in 1970. Mine had blonde hair and beard, and my brother's had dark hair and beard. It's still my favorite Christmas memory. The following year, we received the Jeep and more accessories. Wish I still had all of that:(

What a great set and looks so complete . He was sure a welcomed sight when he was produced for little boys but I think girls also liked him :-)

Mani is right, my brothers had this type GI Joe in the late sixties, but because I was always a big war movie fan, I preferred this handsome man in uniform to Barbies boyfriend Ken lol

The Gi Joe Nurse is one of the rarer Joes. It was probably produced to attract the young girls so their brothers couldn't have all the fun!! Always great to see the original GI Joes.

I am a big GI Joe fan but I don't have one with the original box. The green weapons are for Stoney Smith the Marx version of GI Joe.
