Hello everyone!!!
I've owned this one for quite a while. It was one of the very first cast iron doorstops I purchased. It's a cast iron porcelain enamelled snow hare. I see so many reproductions of this fellow., but, all of the reproductions I've seen are rough castings and the hare's fur isn't defined, like this one. I've only seen a few that really defined the hare's fur. But, this is the first and only porcelain enamelled snow hare I've ever seen , treasure hunting or online.
This one stands 11 3/8" tall and 11 3/4" long and weighs in at about 10 1/2 lbs. I keep him in our front foyer so that I don't accidentally stub my toes on him.

Jenni, Thanks very much!! I never owned a live rabbit. We grew up on a farm, but all we had was cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens and pair of red mules.

Thanks Laura!! I guess you could also refer to this as porcelain enameled. I have one other porcelain enameled cast iron doorstop in my collection, but the rare to come by.
