Hello everyone!!
I received this as a birthday gift this weekend. It's a miniature black/tan Dachshund figure. He's identical to our first (and smartest) Dachshund, named Chipper, that we had 20 years ago. He's very beautifully detailed in just about every way. His eyes are really well painted and look almost like glass. He's nearly life size and measures 15" long and 9 1/2" tall. I believe this is made of resin. As I've mentioned before, I'm not a big fan of resin, but, since this was a gift, I gladly accepted. Though this is for indoors or outdoors, I'm going to keep him inside. I've just not had good luck with resin statues holding up well outdoors.

Our first Dachshund was a black and tan named 'Dandy' brings back fond memories he unfortunately was put down with diabetes when I was 11 . Neil

Glad it brought back good memories for you. We've had four Dachshunds over the past 26 years. Two black and tan (Chipper and Max), a chocolate dapple named Fritz and we currently have a chocolate and tan longhair female named Carly. The best lap dogs to own!!
