I am very happy to be able to share my newest vase - a Fritz Heckert vase in the recently identified 'Marmopal' decor. The base glass is a milky opalescent color, and it has irregular dark green and amber spotting on the exterior. (The smaller amber spots really are only visible when held up to the light.) It has a lovely silvery iridescence. Volkmar Schorcht has been doing a lot of great Heckert research, and identified this decor; some of the Heckert pieces have been identified with a shape number (for example, Th 217), but I do not know the number of this particular shape. This vase is 5-3/4" (14.6cm) tall, has a fire-polished rim, and a round highly-polished pontil. I really like this decor, and hope to be able to add more examples to my collection one day!

Malkey, I am so glad you like it! Thank you! And you know, I think you are right - the surface reminds me somehow of the surface of the moon, so your meteorite idea is right on! But I can see it as lichen, as well! :)

I particularly like the base part of this little one, this so Heckert way to do it.

A lot of investigations to identify this type of décor was done by Stefania Zelasko. In her book 'Fritz Heckert' the shape of your vase is seen on the O.Thamm design paper at page 200 and as far as I can read it is Th.213.
Michelle, your vase is shape number 495/10 I. It was produced in two sizes: approx. 6 inches (I) and approx. 5 inches (II). In Stefania Zelasko's book the page numbers of the pattern books are removed. Originally they are on the upper left and upper right corners of all pages. All patterns on one double page are consecutively numbered. Page(s) 495 contain 10 designs. Your vase in the lower right corner is the last design number on that page.
Perhaps it is of interest that your vase does not belong to the design group marked with "Th" assumingly for Otto "Th"amm. This group was designed for hot furnishings only, wheras your vase does also exist in the Cypern decor with enamel designs by Max Rade: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/31550-symbolist-heckert-cyprus-glass-and-enamel
This shape is the basis of a variation with number Th 136, where the edge of the vase was formed to a triangular undulating shape.
