This box makes a pretty good seal when closed. it's been very finely made out of bamboo. it's small - only about 3 inches high and wide. it's signed on the bottom, but i don't know what it says. i think it's Japanese.
It's a salt box. I have one very similar and I keep pink Himalayan salt in it.
