I have been in New York City since April the 11th on sabbatical, I have been to the theater twice and the Met once. At the theater I saw Edward Albee's "Three Tall Women" with Glenda Jackson and Laurie Metcalf, and "The Book of Mormon" which is still selling out. At the Met I saw "Lucia di Lammermoor". Yesterday I went to the Strand bookstore, while up in their rare book collection on the third floor where I found this wonderful book. It is a limited edition of Fitzgerald's manuscript (facsimile) of "The Great Gatsby" in Fitzgerald's own hand notes and strike troughs. The manuscript is a rare look at Scott's creative mind and what changes were made.
The Manuscript will go well with my 1st edition of "The Great Gatsby".
Oh my!! This is absolutely incredible!! Being a bibliophile myself, this is almost like a holy grail of books. Sounds like you've been having a big time in the Big Apple!

Wow, it's so exciting because The Great Gatsby is my favourite book, and it's a dream to read some notes made by Fitzgerald. As I'm interested in this story, I've read tons of its analysis, and https://studyhippo.com/essays-on/the-great-gatsby/ provides the best materials. To my mind, this novel is a good reflection of the Jazz Age in America.
