Here are two ceramic cherub-topped dresser boxes, the smaller one with roses is 4 1-2"H, the bisque porcelain larger one with boy & girl cherubs is 5"H x 7"W. The little one was made by Ucagco, the bigger one by Ardco, both made in Japan.
Hope you enjoy this post Mrstyndall, I looked all over the place & finally found them. I think that I like cherubs because my late mom liked them, & she had one favorite cherub item I will post on her BD next month. Luv Jenni

Ahh, what sweet little cherubs, Jenni ;). Even though they are two different companies, they compliment each other nicely. Thank you so much for posting.

These are so adorable. I have some head vases made by Ucagco. I may even have one or two made by Ardco. Perhaps, I should post them. Thanks for sharing these with us, Jenni!!

Lovely, dainty boxes with sweet cherubs. Makes me think of Easter and springtime.

I'm so happy you liked them MrsT, I really thought both were by Ucagco til I saw the back stamps. They are vintage (or so I was told at purchase) but probably not as antique as your gorgeous planter which probably dates ca. WW2 era

Scott I love your great compliments, keep 'em coming please!

Oh I would love to see your pieces from these two companies TimeT, as I really liked their artistry - looking forward to it

Ken thanx a mil for your great compliments as always, my uplifting friend

Laura they are pretty sweet looking, no? Now that I look at them they're in similar poses, little babies with their feet up, the overhead shots (as you can see, taken rather slapdash & hurriedly, often my hallmark) give them an airborne look

You're all so kind by loving this, thank you so much

To stand the test of time is amazing fore it is so easy to chip or crack ( Heaven forbid) this type of glass. These are beautiful and, like Laura, the pastels do remind me of spring!
      So precious :)

Thanks Eileen, yes the applied pieces like the cherubs and flowers can easily break off these boxes, although these are somewhat stronger being bisque ceramic and not glazed porcelain. Appreciate the great compliment & love

Thank you Vynil for the love and thoughtfulness it's very nice of you
