I just got these recently. They are both signed on back but it is in Russian. They are tiny at about 1 inch by 1 inch. The detail is amazing though. Anyone know any details about pictures on these?

Lovely! I believe the first is from the fairytale poem by Pushkin- "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish."
These are wonderfully beautiful Mrstyndall!! They immediately reminded me of a vintage lacquered photo album from Japan that I was gifted with this past Christmas. I'll have to post it.
Both boxes have beautiful scenes on the lids, your photos came out great considering their small size
