This turquoise (or other blue stone) ring reverses to Egyptian heiroglyphics. 1" long, marked Genisis77 with a copyright and a curved whale-shape mark. I haven't tested it to see if it is gold or not. I think it is from the 70's Tutmania craze.

MrsT - thank you - I love it too. I can't remember where I found it....I have had it for a long time, maybe since the 80's.

The cartouche would suggest an Egyptian name, looks like a piece of luck !~

Phil - thanks, I hope it doesn't say "F you infidel who wears this!" LOL

      Thanks Alan for your love.

Thank you dear Rose - I am in a "walk like an Egyptian" mood. If I wasn't so darn lazy I'd find the ID kit Shareurpassion and I bought last year to test it. LOL

It's nifty! Attractive too. I really like that it would sit quite flat and the wire wound around the shank looks cool.
I do like your translation of the hieroglyphs. I think it says: Stop flipping me over (not off)

Beautiful reversible ring to suit your mood, the marbled blue stone looks like matrix turquoise

Starting from the other side of things: Thank you friends for your loves - Hel1, Mike, Kyra, Kevin, Ken, Laura :-)

Karen - If anyone asks me that's what I'll say it means "stop flipping me over!!" LOL

Jenni - yes, there is a brown matrix. It's a very pretty color and set in the bezel nicely too.

Eileen - I couldn't find any research about Genisis77. Anyway, I am happy to have it to add to my Egyptomania obsession.

Thomas - thanks!! Fun isn't it?

I bet you're right on the money! It's cool though. Ya know...even back in the 70's when the turquoise craze hit strong (60's really) turquoise stones were being replaced with I think it's iolite that's the best imitator because it keeps the dye longer than most, correct me if that's the wrong stone please. but plastic was being used along with powdered turquoise even because the market got so flooded. It's surging again and you just have to be careful, as with anything. It's all good if you love what you get as long as you are knowing and not getting charged the high prices of the Southwest turquoise for something coming from elsewhere. I think what was new to me mostly then was the lapis lazuli and gold that was decorating King Tut. This is a great piece for you!

SUPER cool! I've never seen a reversible ring before. Clever!
