Pretty blue cabochon with gold and silver confetti flecks. Lucite was a 1930's invention by the Dupont Co. but flecks show up in the late 40's-1950's. The nice bronze metal setting has a Victorian feel and fits in with 50's Victorian Revival designs. I would like this ring to be from the 1930's but I don't think so. Any thoughts friends?
Very pretty, and I love the color(s) !!
Thank you Rose for your nice comment :-) I was going to say something like - why aren't you and I out having fun on a Friday night, then I realized for you it's past midnight, you probably have just returned home :-)
What an amazing ring, the stone really does look like confetti - the bronze setting looks quite antique, I would think 1950s or even earlier
Gorgeous !!
Very nice... I think you hit it on the nose..
You are our plastics expert after all...
Looks quite old to me.
Where did you find this beauty, if I may ask?
Jenni - yes, I think it's 40's. Maybe the ring setting is older and the mfg popped in the Lucite cab. Could be true....
Ken - thank you for your gorgeous comment :-)
Eileen - I'm not an expert, but I am a plastaholic :-) Let's see, I think I found it at a thrift store in San Diego or Kobey's swapmeet about 20 years ago. I remember I was excited. :-)
Friends thank you: Hel1, Mike, Karen, Phil, Kevin, MrsT and Thomas :-)
I love the design and colour!!! Wonderful!
