In continuation of my Vienna bronze posts, here's another from my collection. This is a cold painted bronze Turkish man sitting in a high back chair. He originally was smoking a long pipe. Unfortunately, the pipe is missing (I'll assume he kicked the habit). Anyway, he's so incredibly detailed, as is the chair he sits in. Though there is some paint loss, this is still quite an amazing piece.
This one is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. Though this one is unsigned, he has all the ear marks of a Franz Bergman piece. Franz Bergman produced many unsigned pieces before the turn of the 20th century. So, it's not uncommon to find an unsigned Bergman piece from that era. This one measures 6" tall.
Thank you all so very much for stopping by and supporting my posts!!!
