    Hi CW Gang:

LOL - I know BB2 will pop by....LOL....But this is a Wooden Mushroom for fixing darning Socks. Back in the old days you FIXED socks, now you just throw them away. I do not think anyone ?? Fixes their socks anymore at all. Even the Grannies I think just put on a new pair of Socks !! Great piece of a type of Folk art too.

Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

I have my Nana's here. I guess it's from back in the day when socks were hand knitted so mending was really worthwhile. I don't think anyone darns anything anymore!

My grandmother had one just like it, only it was quite worn because she used it a lot. She taught me how to do it but I am way too lazy to fix any sock nowadays :)
