Lovely old cast iron tractor seat from probably over 100 years ago. Was originally way out west on a sheep station near Cunnamulla, Queensland, Australia. I'm so glad it was never painted as to me there is nothing like the original iron colour. It's in great condition too, no cracks. I bought it from a lady who's family had the property for a few generations so it has had a few different derrieres planted on it over the years. I intend to one day make a stand to bolt it on and use at my workbench.
HV McKay/ Sunshine was a very famous name in early Australian history and there is much information on the subject.
G'day. I'm looking to find a few of these old sunshine harvester seats. I have a couple but would like a few more to help make up a set of stools. Are you interested in selling these? Or do you know where I might be able to source some the same. Any assistance would be grateful. Regards. Keith.
