Here's a small steamer I picked up. I think it's a Moynat French trunk but I may be wrong. Can anyone ID? The lock says " Depose " and it's completely un-restored.

Moynat was fairly good at marking most of their product. This is one of the reasons that they are considered one of the better manufacturers. Without a label it is really hard to say, it could be from a Belgian , or even a Swiss manufacturer. "Depose" meaning registered The GP or DP on the lock may be who it is registered by. Many of these locks were sold to multiple manufacturers across Paris France, Bruxelles Belgium. The site below may be helpful for it has a trunk catalog, just scroll down.

Definitely a beautiful and extremely well made trunk.

I think you nailed that one DRILL right on the money as far as depiction of this trunk goes with those catalog images.
