I've had this Kenneth Lane brooch for years.
It's the RED & ICE combo that grabbed me on this one. It's also one that I could never part with, and I've parted with many :(
One Sunday morning in Church, our wonderful singer was leading us in a final Hymn, when she all of a sudden studdered, (like she forgot the words) but after a couple seconds continued on.
After Mass, she came up to me and said," I've never stopped in the middle of a song before, but when I looked over your way, your brooch took my breathe and words away!" I had on a white sweater so it really stood out( I guess). We had a good laugh over the whole thing and parted ways.
I never wore this to church again :)

Hello friends, I spaced out and forgot to come back and thank everyone :(

Jenni, I've seen a lot of his/her designs that seem to be the same. Then again I have a KJL that is identical to DeNicola ( my Aries, only $$$ cheaper). I believe that's why Trifari had the sense to patent their designs.

Thank you Scott ..I so appreciate your comment!

Mary, yeah, it's a biggie. Poor woman, I did feel for her, but like I said we laughed it off.

      Phil...what a nice compliment...the red is a "grabber"!

Thank you Ken...yes, it's pretty big, never seen another like it either. If I do, I'll be sure to let you know :)

Laura & MrsT. You are both so kind!

And thank you for all the loves, dears!

That's a stunner and a great story! Looks like an earlier KJL piece, too. They are are so rare and sought after.

Hi Maureen, just caught your comment.
I believe this dates in the 1980’s. The ones that I really love are his 1960’s pieces. ( check out SammyZ’s!!) One has to be careful if you want his older pieces as his designs were mass produced by QVC. I have literally seen a dozen of the same star design on eBay, they’re everywhere! No thanks!

      Oops, I meant “sammytheopulenthippo”
Her collection is incredible, so sad she sold most of them. Wish I was around when she did :)
