I got this brooch recently in a group that I bought. It is really pretty and has an old trombone clasp. There is some kind of marking on pin-I think it is 925. Thanks for looking

Bohemian Garnet mines have been exhausted..
NO MORE to be found...
Where as "today's" Garnets are plentiful, and just don't have the beauty the "old garnets" have.
This is a beautiful classic example of an early piece of Bohemian jewelry...
