Carnival glass corn cob vase. Sorry I can't seem to rotate for this post. Inherited from my parents who were quite knowledgeable collectors. They were smitten with it. I don't get anything but a perhaps a minor sense of iridescence or shine. Shine green under black light. See photo. Any value? Thanks for looking.

This is a fun, quirky vase...but it is vaseline glass rather than carnival glass, though. Carnival has a distinct iridescent finish like a rainbow effect. This piece does have some opalescence, due to the use of bone ash in the mixture...when reheated after the initial process of forming the opalescence "strikes" & that creates the milky effect. The UV glow is caused by the use of uranium in the glass mixture. Made by Northwood originally c.1905. It has been reproduced later though.
