This is the second Daum vase purchased earlier this year. It is a rare, 5¾ inch (14.6 cm) tall trefoil form with delicately etched and enameled woodland “summer landscape” scene. Among its large inventory of glassware, Daum produced themed landscape vases representing each season: spring, summer, autumn and winter. All are beautiful in their own right but it seems (at least to me) there are fewer summer landscape pieces. Anyhow, I plan on finding nice examples of the other seasons to accompany this piece.
Added quickie (cell-phone) pic of the Daum Nancy mark signed in black enamel.
