I picked this up yesterday at a local thrift shop for two bucks and some change (2 Euro). The clasp is just white metal. I tested for Bakelite just for fun and, of course, it failed. I have no clue how old it is, if someone re-purposed it from another necklace or just restrung the original. Looks kind of like a necklace I saw which was sold on 1stDibs.
