At Coit Tower in San Francisco there is a bevy of murals painted by the Public Works of Art Project (PWAP) during the New Deal. These murals adorn the inner walls of the Tower's base. Coit Tower itself was built with the money of Lillie Hitchcock Coit, in part to honor the firefighters of San Francisco.

This particular two-part mural was painted by George Harris. It is titled "Banking and Law" and its description, which I have a picture of above, is also transcribed below:

"While the stocks continue to plunge and bags of money are guarded, lawyers pour over books in a law library. The artist's sense of humor is evident in the titles of books and the authors to whom he attributes the titles."

If you zoom in, you can see those titles up close!

Part of my excursion to Coit Tower.
