This is a very nice yellow gold Jadeite Diamond pendant 18K (marked) which I bought a number of years ago in Beijing, China. Very special is the deep green colour of this Jadeite apple pendant. A jeweler I asked said the quality of this piece is very nice Imperial Jade. I'll hope you agee it's beautiful?

Just had to drop a line to say how beautiful your piece is! I love that the maker played on the Apple Green color, turning the traditional jade disc into a luscious apple. So harmonious and eye-catching. And whimsical!

This is not Nephrite but Jadeite so I changed the tittle

I can't authenticate it due to the quality of photos, but it has a chance to be jadeite. Well, friend, it's worth a fortune if you could find your original invoice from the Beijing shop.

shrine, thanks for your useful comment. And yes, I paid a little fortune in Beijing and with the 18K and diamonds I suppose it will be Jadeite. Please do me a favor and take a look at the other silver piece I bought in the same shop (with antique warranty) I liked it but don't know till this moment what it was and where it was used for: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/86952-who-can-tell-me-more-about-this-antique
I'll hope you take a look and let me know what you think about??

Hi Agram, I brought in a jadeite collector from Beijing to check your photos. Your title is probably right, it's very likely to be a Jadeite. Err......however, to the best we know, we both agree that this is not likely to be a Grade A Jadeite, but a Grade B+C Jadeite. In plain English, a dyed jadeite. I am so sorry but has to point you to the highlighted area in the 1st pic. Can you see tiny cracks form some sort of networks? Red flag!!! ?

It's OK to find some dots, cracks or dents on the surface of jadeite, especially on an antique one, but interconnected cracks is abnormal. You'd better take it to your jeweler and look at it through a "Chelsea filter". Grade A jadeite would remain green under the filter but other colors are XXX.....

Here is an example of Grade A jadeite with smooth surface, even in highlight area.

A jeweler who I showed this pendant told me that there were indeed some cracks in the jadeite, but the quality is superb. That's why I think it is Jadeite. He also told me that the quality of the diamonds was not so high.
Anyway thanks for all the effort and time. I have learned a lot and will soon buy another one Chelsia filter to look at my beautiful pendant, a beautiful souvenir of Beijing themselves.
Would you still can do me a big favor and take a look at the link: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/86952-who-can-tell-me-more-about-this-antique and tell me what this is and where it could be? for use

I know it's hard to believe, but if it was the real Imperial Green jadeite, well...it would buy you a whole fleet of Mercedes. The word 'Imperial' carries a lot of weight.

No I paid not a fleet but a little Dinky toy for this pendant. But that time in China it was a fortune! Thanks again!
