I recently scored this elegant porcelain teacup and I want to know more about it!! I have literally been researching the marks on the bottom for days and keep coming up empty handed. I normally don't buy this sort of thing but something about it screamed buy me!! It was only a $1 so I couldn't pass it up.
I also keep looking at the picture and I would like to say that it is painted on but I am not sure how to tell? Can anyone help me out?? Thanks in advance.

I think it could be European, probably German. They seem to like the heavy gilding!

Thank you! :) I am normally not into this style but the gold gilding is truly what first caught my eye. Hmm..European..that totally makes sense.
