Hello everyone.
A recent purchase from an antique shop to show you.............
An adorable little swan pin cushion that i could not resist!
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham 1901, with the maker's mark L&S for Levi & Salaman.
This pin cushion measures roughly 2 inches long x 3 1/2 inches high.
I hope you enjoy this little swan and love it as much as I do, thanks for looking, Judy.
Some great antiques you find in Tassie Judy. This is a sweetie, and great hallmarks!
Love the detail on this one Judy, I just bought a bunch of stick pins in colours which would work well with this piece.
Beautifully formed little swan Judy, such a realistic graceful pose, and in excellent condition for age
Hi Karen, thank you, it is a sweetie isn't it! It is nice to be able to support local small business too......needless to say it wasn't exactly a bargain, but hey, somtimes you just have to splash out:-)
Hello Phil, thank you! The work gone into this is amazing for sure! You will have to post some of your stick pins........I have a few, but didn't think to display any in this swan......senior moment!:-)

Pascale, thank you, I am really happy to have him in my collection and I am pleased that he is so little too as I am seriously running out of room in the cabinets!
I'm glad you like him too, I thought you would, and I can just picture him "swanning" around on a lake :-) )
Many thanks for the love Karen, Fortapache, Phil, Vetraio, Jenni and Pascale, it is always sincerely appreciated :-)
Hi Judy, my stick pins are not worth posting but for the price I believe they would look great in that cushion !~:

I was going to use some in my jewellery display boxes to hold down the pieces, but to date have not used them for that purpose, but I have some others to try in the old show cases I have.
That sounds like a good idea Phil, they should work well!
