I looked at the emblem and thought it said 383 but wasn’t sure. That thing gets up and goes.

Boy the 60’s cars from Detroit didn’t have a lot of quality control back then on the body panel fit. I’m not criticizing the Chevelle believe me I love it. Back then Detroit could get away with chrome trunk panels not matching the rear fenders chrome. Look at the 4th picture. It’s come a long way since. I think it gives the Chevelle a kind of patina look. I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m talking about the rear chrome trim pieces. But again that’s the way it is supposed to look. Great restoration and all.
