I found this rather boring looking bowl, or dish yesterday, but I have never seen this shape before, and it's unusual to have no decoration, except for the leaf border around it. It's also not a common blue. I have taken some pictures of it with various dark blues I have, and it is most like the royal blue of the Silver Jubilee pin trays of 1977. Has anyone seen a shallow bowl or dish like this before? It is 8.3 cms across and 4.5 cms high.

It’s a beautiful shade of blue. Do you think that it may have had a lid at one point? I have always liked Jasperware, but I really don’t know much about it. I did see a miniature teapot at an antique shop once. It was a light green. They had it priced at $60.00. I thought that was too much.

I did wonder about a lid, but there is no rim or wear round the top!
