Here's a Double Lock I finished recently. Not sure of the year or maker, but believe it's maybe late 1890's.

This one is really nice... that’s a high quality double lock... nice pattern... hardware I think might be Sessions.. great restoration on this piece... looks fab!
Thanks trunkman! As usual, I started out thinking how I would restore it and ended up going in a completely different direction and got lucky. I was going to sell it but it came out so well, I decided to keep it. I blame that on you guys for giving out all those great restoration tips :)

Nice refinish job Mike78 :Some similar patterns of embossed metal above (courtesy of Marvin Miller "This old Trunk")he posted these some time ago to help others . There are many as you well know, I believe yours might be called " morning glory"which is on an ajacent page in the catalog .I'll look further.
