1977 Original Star Wars poster (PTW531 LITHO) in Pristine condition. NO "PG" RATINGS! Still wrapped In the original factory seal. If you study the poster you will also see there is no "PG" rating. This is 100% real! One of the best ways to tell if this particular poster is a fake or a reprint is to look for the tell hair signs only a dedicated Star Wars fan or collector would know without first running to the internet looking for the answers. I've uploaded some close up shots for obvious reasons again only a serious fan or collector would know exactly what I'm talking about. Please DO NOT post any comments about this answer. After the original print of this poster was circulated, many press and printing companies attempted to counterfeit and sell them as originals. There was such massive counterfeiting operation going on at that time that today there is an estimated tens of thousands if not more counterfeit posters currently in circulation and if this edition. During the time the reprints were being counterfeited human hairs somehow landed on the lenses during reprint which those hairs can be seen in most all of the counterfeit posters in circulation today. During that time no one seemed to notice the hairs in all these counterfeit posters until one day a collectors seen what he thought was a hair on his poster that he paid top dollar for as he thought it was an original. After careful review and a massive investigation it was learned not only did he have a fake but the fakes were everywhere! A collector asked me to send him a close up of these areas of my poster. He wanted to see if the blaster was muzzled and if there was a hair on the princess dress or at the bottom of R2-D2 foot. I've taking this poster to all the collectors I know in Salem Massachusetts and they all agree this is the real deal and a very rare find in the condition in which it is in. I'd love to have it authenticated by Star Wars!

This is a commercial print. Not an original theatrical release poster. Worth about $50.
The originals posters have “one sheet style “C” in the Bottom right hand corner and “printed in the USA” on the left hand bottom corner. Unless it’s a printers proof in which case it has nothing printed along the bottom border at all.
Most were printed for the international market but a few had PG ratings box on them for special US engagements.

I forgot to add that all theatrical release posters were 27” x 41” apart from the printers proofs that had a colour bar along the left hand edge an measure 28” x 41”
