I obtained a pair of these raised cover plates, as well two flat ones and also two two-hole (round) switch covers while rummaging through someone’s discards destined for pickup at a recent town cleanup drive.

Never having seen cover plates in this raised style, I was impressed. The recovered items are all made of brass, to me, they appear be of the Art-Deco genre.

The socket covers now grace my humble home, and if I ever move, they are coming with me!

I don't think I've ever seen coverplates in this style either -- VERY COOL!!! Are there any mfr's marks on their backs? Speaking of the style, a total guess but I think I'd call them more MCM than art-deco...doesn't change the fact that they definitely needed saved from the "trash clean-up"??!! <thumbsup><applause>

They can be purchased at any hardware store, and Walmart etc. They had different outlets in the Art Deco period. You can also buy these in brushed stainless steel.

Looks like the brass ones I was buying in the 80's and 90's when redecorating.
