Peloton cased glass vase

This vase is 12 7/8" high x 6" wide at top x 4 1/2" wide at bottom. It is a layer of yellow glass with applied threads of other colored glass all encased in clear glass. I've had it for several years, purchased at a thrift shop that specialized in buying the entire estates of deceased people. This came from the estate of a local art collector. Not sure if it is from a local (Central Illinois) glass maker or not. As I recall, the original owner also had a home in Florida, so this could have come from a glass maker in Florida, too, or from neither place. A couple of the pieces I bought from this estate came from a regional professional glass artist, but he says this is not his work. To complicate matters even further, one of the local universities has a prominent art glass program. I think this was made using a combination of techniques, peloton, kiln casting, etc., but not certain of the exact technique or combination of techniques. It looks like a pontil may have been removed from the bottom. Not marked or signed. One person I had look at it thought the artist's mark might be in the design, but I have not been able to decipher anything. I suspect that it may be Bohemian/Czech. Comments welcome!
