    One of those items that took a long time and some older brains to tell me what this piece was all about. They were made for for the post office banks ect. where a signature was required for a number of items and to avoid the tiller having to physically and repetitively sign documents they could stamp their name, but if a real signature was needed they had the provision of either a dip pen or propelling pencil to use.
