This is a box or “parlour” stove. Would like to know more about it. Could I use it safely if properly installed?

You probably need it inspected by a local municipal building inspector. My daughter had to do this before It was used.

My wife and I just bought a similar boxwood stove, and as far as I can tell it is called a Jewett fancy stove, ours is a No. 25
