Here is a closeup of the Viking Glass orange angelfish. It is 6 7/8" high and 6 7/8" long. It has a ground bottom, but still a pretty prominent and jagged pontil mark. This was always a hard piece to find and it took me some time to add this one to my collection. It sits by my desk and I see it whenever I am sitting there. A beauty, if I do say so myself. Hey CW! Where is my Viking Glass category?
Thank you for this beautiful post Kevin, I adore this orange angelfish beauty, and with the gold streaks in the fins and the 50s age I think you have a very rare Viking piece here! Notice how heavy the Viking Glass animals are, more so than any other glassmakers. I have a few more Viking animals to post down the line, I get sidetracked with other glass co's like my next post.
