To my way of listening, this band is the best thing to come from Cleveland since Screamin' Jay Hawkins. And they put on a good live show. These are their first four albums. MODERN DANCE and DUB HOUSING were released almost simultaneously in 1978 - Modern Dance in America, Dub Housing in England. They have completely different playlists. NEW PICNIC TIME and ART OF WALKING are USA releases from 1979 and 1980 respectively.

"I put a spell on you" is a great song. I read that SJH once opened a concert by rising out of a coffin on stage. He was a unique character. I can only listen to Robert Johnson in small bursts. He was so intense. So much impact for such a short life. We're lucky to have his existing recordings, thanks to the American Recording Company. I wish ARC had captured more than two songs my Charlie Akers.... I think he would potentially have been as well know as Johnson, though more for his sound than his content.
