This was a lucky find! It was in the junk section and marked 99 cents. Too bad I need to re-string it. Someone did a pretty bad job; I would not wear it the way it is now. But, sadly, the Canadian winter is already standing in front of my door and I will have plenty of time to fix up my summer finds.

    Thanks for looking:)

Hi, Mary. I hope you have a great summer!
I believe the necklace is Bakelite. I tested it and the cotton swap turned yellowish. Now, there is always the possibility that it was just dirt - LOL. (But I am serious. Some of the beads are dirty and I will give them a good wash before fixing the necklace up and wearing it)

Thanks again for your comment, Mary. I almost missed out because the store was kind of badly lit so I didn't see the real colour until I got home:)

It is hard to see, but I added picture # 4 to show the necklace after I took it apart, cleaned all of the beads, and restrung it. Now it is ready to wear!
