      Where a basket is "found" may have nothing to do with where it was made. This isn't Native American, it's African. It's a typical lidded basket from Botswana, identified by the distinctive flat lid, the materials used, the design pattern, and the weaving technique.

      No Native American basket makers make baskets using this particular combination of material and technique.
