I picked this up at a yard sale. My wife wanted it for The bathroom. The woman at the garage sale said it was very old. I have my doubts. Can anyone tell me about this picture?

It looks a bit like the Holly Hobby dolls!

It's too hard to tell from a picture so look at the type fabrics: are the woven or a polyester double knit? Are the seams machine stitched or hand stitched? Are the edges machine zig-zag stitched or hand stitched?
Is there anything written on the back? You might have to take it out of the frame to be sure...but the glass probably needs cleaning anyway.
Sorry I can't be more help.

It could be old yet I have a little doubt about it too, unless it is under glass. That may have kept it in good shape. What's funny is that the umbrella is smaller than her bonnet. It kind of reminds me of the pictures at the 1930's Chicago worlds fair. They were a little different but not much. I had to toss mine, it ended up having mold on it and I didn't want it to affect my other artwork.

I appreciate the comments. It is under glass. Iposted a picture oftheback and closeups of the dress and seams. Hope this helps.
