    Cobalt blue is a desirable color for graniteware. I thought I had paid too much for it but a check on eBay shows I did OK.
    This pie plate is 9 inch across which is a bit on the smaller side for a pie plate. The white side is covered by the pie and the colorful part is covered by the table leaving an inch along the sides that was barely visible. Graniteware like this started about 1885 and was probably over with by the 1920s.
    I have this displayed with my other plates of uncommon color where they make a fine display.
