The latest find on the latest trip to my local charity shop is this rather nice little camel statue- and being the owner of two camels already (both dromedaries) this one is the first of the Bactrian kind AND made of metal. I believe the metal is pewter because of it's nice sheen and it's rather considerable weight- the detailing on his face and long neck hair is really nice too! Or do camels have manes?
Whatever the case I love him for his unusual and realistic pose and look- while the other camels are nice carvings too he's the one that looks the most realistic! His name's Lionel by the way, the other two are Leonard and Leroy...

Gorgeous pewter camel, great addition to your lovely camel family - I like Lionel's realistic face & lips, and textured body

I know that song PhilDMorris! But the question is DO deserts really miss the rain? That's what makes them deserts after all?!

Bobby725- I was thinking of that song too- and the one 'I went through the desert on a horse with no name!' even though there camels not horses!
