Most likely California 143rd Field Artillery collar disk dating from around WW1

It is an inter- war collar disk.

Online research shows the 143rd Artillery was part of the 40th Division AEF in WW1. The 143rd was created from the 1st CA Artillery in 1917. In 1919 it was demobilized after occupation duty.

In 1924 it was reorganized as a California National Guard unit with the 143rd designation:

This disk would date from the time period after the reorganization up until WW2.
