a couple heavy HOMER LAUGHLIN restaurant plates

This (near) pair picked up at a thrift shop recently for a buck/pc., because their color (which sadly did not photograph well here...) appealed to me, and (I think) fits well with my kitchen and most of the rest of my other 'mismatched restaurantware' collection. The rims on these are decorated with a simple dusty-rose/mauve/pink band on otherwise plain white china. Both bearing typical HOMER LAUGHLIN logos on their backs, I didn't actually notice/realize until I got them home and was scrubbing the residual grease away that they are indeed slightly different from each other -- while they look identical at a glance, the inner edge of the color band on one is crisply defined, while 'fuzzy' on the other -- also the logos are basically the same, though one is actually slightly larger than the other. Guessing that could mean that they, though probably technically remaining the "same pattern", were actually made in different plants or product runs (at least) maybe years apart from each other...??

They're both about 9-1/2" dinner plates, bearing all the typical wear/scratches one would expect from dishware that's probably already served *hundreds upon hundreds* of meals...? ;-) :-)
