This lamp is 17" high and the shade is 8" in diameter, mostly solid brass fittings and quite heavy. Signed "Dresden" in cursive on the shade. I have had this for a number of years, bought at an upscale used furniture store. The only other mark I have found on it is the number "50" or "60" partially obscured by the nut that holds the center shaft to the base. I assume that at one time it had a felt bottom, but that is long gone. Not sure if the cord is original, it has one of those roller switches that you roll between your thumb and forefinger to turn on and off.

I don't use it often as it gets really hot and you can burn yourself on the shade after a while, but the cord doesn't get hot. The light is also pretty bright. It probably dims the lights in my neighbors' homes when I turn it on. Using the two bulbs that came in it. Not sure if LED bulbs are now available for these lamps. The colors from the crystal are amazing, though, and it appears to be a very high quality lamp, but I don't know much about lamps, except for Stiffels. Any ideas of the age, maker or country of origin welcome!

Update: I finally found some LED bulbs that fit this lamp which are somewhat less bright and then noticed that it is signed "Dresden" in cursive on the shade. The bulbs are 60 watt so guessing n you can still see it from the Moon when it is lit, but now a step closer to being usable. Will try to find some 40 watt bulbs and see if that makes a difference..

After looking at hundreds of crystal lamp images, I think this is either a boudoir lamp or a dressing table lamp. I guess if you want unobstructed bright light on your face, this would be the lamp for it.

      Thanks for loving my lamp!

Thanks, Jenni! I suspect that this is by Tritschler Winterlander & Co, similar the crystal lamp that I recently posted.
