      The style is from the 1940's, Most of them were unmarked as to manufacturer.

      I also believe it's from 1940s - it's great that the bench and vanity have remained together and it still has its hardware and original finish. So many get painted but your finish looks good so I hope you keep it that way.

      Thank you as was very intrigued as to the handwritten mark of 1000 in addition to the stamp of it. Was thinking that was the number of sets made as I also have the dresser

      It’s a shame that in the older era that the manufacturer didn’t feel warranted to put their signature on it ... I love the wooden wheels and the intricate design on the hardware to the drawers

      Yes, the wooden wheels are very special! Have u checked the other pieces for the same "1000" stamp on them? That may indicate the style. The manufacturer may have had a glued on or stapled on paper label that came off years after it was applied.

      Sometime the best place to look are in old Catalogs, such as Sears, Simpson Sears, Eatons in Canada. They usually had at least a full page of these. Larger libraries might let you examine their collection. I will check some of mine.
