    Sold as German flask tests as 900 silver with 9 carat gold accents on flowers and initials. was purchased in Belgium from a dutchman years ago. any ideas no hallmarks Size is approx 2.3/4" long x just over 2" widest point weighs 97 grams. Militeria? or peppermint box ive no idea.

      Looks quite ornamental and meant to be hung and worn by a woman, could it be a chatelaine match box holder, or other type of useful container for the household. The size seems too small to be a flask. Thanks for posting.

      just been told it is a tobacco flask and the basket is holding tobacco plants
