Was life brighter in 1911 when this postcard was sent? I think its funny the man pictured appears to wearing a white glove on his right hand but not on his left one.

To me it appears that both hands are unaturally white, and, therefore, gloved.
Not that life was brighter in 1911, but life was brighter when they were together.
